Unlike many artists who start at a young age, Candace began her creative journey in college. She attended the University of Wisconsin and received a degree in art. She began her career working at several Houston advertising agencies as a graphic artist and eventually opened her own graphic design studio Image Ink, Inc. in the Houston area.
After retiring, Candace focused on mastering digital photography and the challenging editing program Photoshop. At first, it was just attempting to make a bad photo look good. Taking online classes led to the magical world of “Photo Artistry” and a whole new art form revealed itself.
Candace is a member of Burnett Area Arts Group in Wisconsin and North Shore Arts Guild in Lago Vista, Texas, and the National Association of Digital Artists. Her digital art creations have been featured in Living the Photo Artistic Life magazine and works are currently exhibited in Northwest Passage Gallery in Webster, Wisconsin.
Candace is married to her husband Bill for 55 years. They have a son Brett (deceased) and two grandchildren. Bill and Candace split their time between Wisconsin & Texas. Candy also enjoys golf, pickleball, and ATV riding.
